In this post we review the top sites on the net that provide free good recipes.

1. allrecipes.com

This site boast over 40,000 recipes and it is easy to get lost on this site so beware.

There is just so much information that hits you when you arrive there is the distinct possibility you will get taken on to a tangent, and 20 minutes later, think, “What did I come here for!”.

So if you are short on time and need information quickly, keep focused and go directly to the section you need.

The Search box right at the top of the page makes this easy so you can type in a specific keyword term and get refined results.

There is a helpful navigation bar on the left that lists the most popular recipes.

Be sure to scroll right to the bottom of the home page as there are some other interesting features. A whole list of countries is given so you can choose the version of the page that suits you.

Also there are some extra features such as the Rachel Ray page giving 30 minute quick recipes.

2. freeallrecipes.com

This site is crammed with easy quick recipes. You have the choice of viewing standard recipes or recipes with pictures.

Many would opt for the recipes with pictures as it is always helpful to know what the dish is supposed to turn out like and gives you something to aim for.

In the absence of a search box, the site has good navigation facilities with all the main categories listed along the top of the page including:

Bread | Cake | Chicken | Beef | Chilli | Chocolate | Curry | Fish

Scroll to the bottom of the page for a bunch more categories such as:

Mexican | Italian | Chinese | Appetizers |  Barbecue | Sea Food

and many more.

3. freerecipeonline.net

This site is simpler than the others and doesn’t have so much ‘clutter’ so it is easy to go straight to the section you need.

The left navigation bar has all the recipe categories listed with the number of recipes in each section indicated.

The emphasis here is on recipes that are quick and easy to do so you can find good recipes for dinner, good recipes for breakfast, or quick recipes for lunch.

Another Search Tip

There is an abundance of material on the internet in PDF format. To find it you simply put your search term in Google and then add filetype:pdf after it and you will find a bunch of ebooks on the term you are searching for.

Of course, there is good and bad and you need to be selective, but just 10 minutes of searching PDF ebooks can yield excellent results.

You could walk away with one or two hundred free good recipes that you can just keep on your hard disk and reference anytime you like.
